San Juan is considered by many to be the 'show town' of the local council (Ayuntamiento de Pulpi) A lot of money has been spent over the last 2-3 years on a wonderfull promenade which now spans from Playa rabiosa down to the Calypso hotel. Dotted along the promenade are childrens play areas and Chiringuoitos which tempt you in with delicious seafood dishes, tapas or a glass or two of wine, whilst overlooking the blue waters of the mediterranean. The local town hall of Pulpi has one of the strictest planning policies in the region so there has been nothing built above 3 stories for many years, this not only makes the place even more attractive for people from the UK looking to buy or rent but also holds the town in high esteem with the majority of property owners who are Spanish nationals from Madrid and other cities and towns.
