Within two miles of the Kennedy Homestead and the Kennedy Arboretum Chloe's Country Cottages offers accommodation for a relaxing and tranquil holiday retreat yet is in the heart of a county full of places to visit. There is a choice of more than seven beaches along the coast of Wexford, Waterford and the Hook Peninsula and the area offers visitors a wealth of activities including fishing, golf, horse-riding and sailing. Bagenal Harvey Cottage is in the heritage site of Butlerstown Castle (c. 1480) and adjoins both the castle and Boxwell Cottage. There is a butterfly garden on one side, and herb garden on the other, and it is all in the peaceful setting of a 100 acre farm, complete with pet animals for children to help feed. Situated near a number of beaches in the sunniest corner of Ireland, there are also good local restaurants, pubs, riding, golf, museums, deep sea fishing and bird watching on lakes and islands nearby. This recently refurbished cottage has been traditionally furnished, and the spacious sitting room has an open log fire. The three bedroom retreat is large enough to lodge up to seven guests, and the kitchen is well equipped. We are the 8th generation to live at Butlerstown, and it has been our dream for many years to share the peace and beauty of the place with others - at last we can!
